Youth Activities

Please join us on Sunday, October 23, for Come Fourth Sunday from 4 to 5 PM in the Fellowship Hall. We plan to have crafts, Bible study, music, and snacks for all school-aged youth from kindergarten through high school. Please come and join us for fun and fellowship.

Saturday, October 30, from 5 to 7 PM, people will gather going from car to car, trunk to trunk, to trick or treat their way from Gibsonville UMC to First Baptist. You are invited to decorate the back of your vehicle, pass out treats, or play games with prizes, and celebrate small-town community as we participate in Halloween. You can arrive to set up your vehicle as early as 4 PM. Plan on giving away about 500-600 treats. We are using the parking lots of both churches as well as all of East Joyner Street which will be shut down for this event.

The next Youth Committee meeting will be held on Sunday, November 14, at 3 PM.

Christmas Program 7

The goal of the Friedens Youth Ministry is to help our youth grow to be mission minded people, to create an environment where youth will learn to share the light of Jesus Christ with their friends, families, and neighbors, and to train up young leaders to continue the mission for future generations.  Our responsibility is to love God, to reach those whom God has placed among us, and to develop in each child an attitude of evangelism and missions, which is best expressed in the Gospel of Matthew: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16, NIV).
